Soul Song
Linkin Park Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I will be waiting
With a song in my soul
A fortunate weakling
Which I have foretold

He raises his arms tied
Above the opressed
Singing this sweet song
His melody opens up the sun

And freedom rained
God has come
With the rivers of blood
Pushed back in my veins
She sleeps with her eyes closed
To dream of the past

Her mind has gone blind now
While Her memory closes up the sun

I have never heard of Grey Daze..I clicked on this expecting someone's version of a L.P song or their song, or style as a tribute to Chester's influence..I didn't expect to hear his voice, Chills..but connection was immediate.

I can not listen to a single Linkin Park song without starting to shed tears..not boo hoo..just tears will come streaming..Alot. linkin Park was around me on almost every decision or experience I had in life..somehow they would be on somewhere..Every song of LP brings baxk memories, both good and bad..but I wouldn't trade away a single song. I call my Linkin Park listening sessions my "Music Therapy"..Finding this now, along with my music therapy is pulling me out of a place I don't want to be in. LP always helped me think, .The music empowers me when I may be at my lowest..it's empowering me now.

YOU KNOW WHAT? Screw the man card or real men don't cry statements..F#CK that. There's not enough tears I could shed that would bring Chester back..tho God knows I would cry an ocean if that was all it took to hear his voice again, to share with him how he was always there for me, always around. And how much that meant whether good times or not. Not one moment would I trade. And then I would listen..

Hell im crying now..

The world still mourns the loss of Chester
.... I know I do.. .
