Formed in 1996, Linkin Park rose to international fame with their debut studio album, Hybrid Theory (2000), which became certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Released during the peak of the nu metal scene, the album's singles' heavy airplay on MTV led the singles "One Step Closer", "Crawling" and "In the End" all to chart highly on the US Mainstream Rock chart. The lattermost also crossed over to the nation's Billboard Hot 100. Their second album, Meteora (2003), continued the band's success. The band explored experimental sounds on their third album, Minutes to Midnight (2007). By the end of the decade, Linkin Park was among the most successful and popular rock acts.
The band continued to explore a wider variation of musical types on their fourth album, A Thousand Suns (2010), layering their music with more electronic sounds. The band's fifth album, Living Things (2012), combined musical elements from all of their previous records. Their sixth album, The Hunting Party (2014), returned to a heavier rock sound, and their seventh album, One More Light (2017), was a substantially more pop-oriented record. Linkin Park went on a hiatus when longtime lead vocalist Bennington died in July 2017. In April 2022, Shinoda revealed the band was neither working on new music nor planning on touring for the foreseeable future.
Linkin Park is among the best-selling bands of the 21st century and the world's best-selling music artists, having sold over 100 million records worldwide. They have won two Grammy Awards, six American Music Awards, two Billboard Music Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, 10 MTV Europe Music Awards and three World Music Awards. In 2003, MTV2 named Linkin Park the sixth-greatest band of the music video era and the third-best of the new millennium. Billboard ranked Linkin Park No. 19 on the Best Artists of the Decade list. In 2012, the band was voted as the greatest artist of the 2000s in a Bracket Madness poll on VH1. In 2014, the band was declared as "The Biggest Rock Band in the World Right Now" by Kerrang!.

Linkin Park Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Renowned emcees surround as the beat breaks down
In two elements, clobbin' up those that bring the best
And as the M-I seek the way it ought to be ponnessed
Yes, yes am I the one to keep you on your toes?
Most definitely in my b-boy pose
The, uh, electric boogaloo with a slight twist
Touch your chin to your chest to the rhythm like this
Now see what I have, I want you
Be with me or stick n' move
Now see what I had, I want you
Be with me or stick n' move
MC's dogging me since the first day I grabbed the mic
Now it's like "You sit! You stay!"
Cobra path lifestyles, I'm kicking
Sticking emcees real quick 'cause times ticking
At the drop of the defence, I let loose a venom
Sending a shot of verbal heat up in 'em
The ending is done, grab your family and run
Apocalyptic rhyme pattern taking shots at the sun
Record industry rule four-thousand-eighty-one:
Question my intentions and your whole world is done
Like Forrest you'll run, turn your eyeballs into Saturn
Full metal jacket fully auto-rhyme pattern
Now see what I have, I want you
Be with me or stick n' move
Now see what I had, I want you
Be with me or stick n' move
Stick it, rock it for a click and I'm wicked
Moving, moving all my tunes and you groove it
Stick it, rock it for a click and I'm wicked
Moving, moving all my tunes and you groove it
Stick it, rock it for a click and I'm wicked (Uh!)
Moving, moving all my tunes and you groove it
Stick it, rock it for a click and I'm wicked
Moving, moving all my tunes and you groove it
Now see what I have, I want you
Be with me or stick n' move
Now see what I had, I want you
Be with me or stick n' move
In "Stick N' Move," Linkin Park is describing the competitive world of hip-hop music where emcees are pitted against each other in a rap battle, vying for the title and crown of the best emcee in the game. The song opens with the singer acknowledging the challenges they will face as they attempt to rise to the top. The second verse speaks to the adversity the singer has faced as an emcee, with other rappers "dogging" them since they began rapping. Despite this, the singer remains unfazed and confident in their ability.
The chorus repeatedly urges the listener to choose between "be with me" or "stick n' move," implying that there is a decision to be made regarding what it means to be a part of the rap battle competition. The bridge references the "apocalyptic rhyme pattern" the singer is about to unleash, which is a metaphor for the intense and aggressive rapping style they are about to employ. The final verses remind listeners that the stakes are high in the world of rap battles; questioning the singer's intentions could result in their entire career being over.
Overall, "Stick N' Move" is a song about the competitive nature of the hip-hop scene and the importance of staying true to oneself while also being willing to adapt and evolve to stay on top.

LYRICS 🥀🖤🥀
Everything you say sounds forced and fake
How long will it take before you make everything
Break down around you?
Everything that you do reminds me of why it is I can't stand you
Everything I thought was real was not
Everything I remembered you forgot
Everything's a joke to you
I hope sometime you get hit by the punchline
In everything I do, I see a little bit of you
Reminding me of what you put me through
'Cause everything that goes up must come down
And everything you do hurts worse when it comes back around
[Chorus: Chester Bennington]
Now I see what I have, and I want you
To be with me, but you'll just stick and move
See what I have, and I want you
To be with me, but you'll just stick and move
[Verse 2: Mike Shinoda]
Nothing you say could make me stay
All the lies disguised have done nothing but make me ask why
Nothing is what I've got
After all of the same pain
You've brought I thought would never stop
Nothing has changed
All the things you said to me then have begun to follow me again
Even though I know there's nothing to be afraid of
The same place the shape came from is making me hide
Inside a place where everything's gray
Constantly forcing the night over the day
Where nothing exists but the things that you say
And nothing could make me want to be further away
[Chorus: Chester Bennington]
Now I see what I have, and I want you
To be with me, but you'll just stick and move
See what I have, and I want you
To be with me, but you'll just stick and move
[Chorus: Chester Bennington]
Now I see what I have, and I want you
To be with me, but you'll just stick and move
See what I have, and I want you
To be with me, but you'll just stick and move
See what I have, and I want you
To be with me, but you'll just stick and move
See what I have, and I want you
To be with me, but you'll just stick and

This track was an early version for Runaway but it has a distinct identity that it feels like an entirely different song.

It's weird when you hear an obscure demo and it catches you off guard because it's not the same one you're used to listening to. Wild! Love it. Miss you Chester!
